Ernst Schubert, I.R. 101

Here's a shot in the dark, but I'd appreciate any help:

How can I find information on the fate of Ernst Schubert, 101st I.R., 1 Btln, 3 komp.? He was in that unit in October of 1914. I believe he was an enlisted man, could have been an NCO.

You might try the German graves registration site. They have listings of KIA .
If there's a history of the 101st Regiment he might be listed in the back.
Lastly, you can always try the German archives.
