A little help with this EK2(?)

At first glance and even measuring the size this is a EK2. But its not, at least something has happened to it at some point.
Like I said, it has the correct measurement, 3 part, magnetic and excellent condition and quality.
If you look closely to the pics you will see that its very neatly done.
All parts of the frame, incl the attachment and loop seems to be made of silver.
I draw a sketch so that you will get a idea how its made, easier to understand when you see the other pics,....

So what is this?

Interesting piece! An Ek2 converted to a grand cross.
Someone did a very nice job attaching the loop. I would guess
it was done by a jeweler. The really big question is when it was done.
1918 or 1968?

All I can say is that its equally worn, it makes a very good impression, not like the usual convertions you see.....
