This week I visited Apeldoorn in the east of the Netherlands, were they have one of the larger collections of orders and decorations in the world in the Royal Palace Het Loo...so anyone living or temporarily working in the west of Germany should really visit!
Furthermore today I was in Yper (just got back) to witness the ceremony of the last post at 20:00 in rememberance of the commonwealth soldiers fallen in WWI. On these occasions it always strikes me that the German Imperial Anthem Heil Kaiser Dir, and God savethe Queen have the same melody, so they actually play it for both sides without even knowing I guess
