Griffen order... original or copy ?

    Hello Boys,

Looking for some feedback..... does this Griffen appear to be original pre-18... or post war ??

It has no maker marks and is silver gilt...

If it's post 18... please share with us why you think it is...

    Cheers
    Mark

          Hi Mark,

I saw this one (or one very similar) on eBay recently. Have to say I found it "strange". The reverse hardware and enameling looks good, but the central medallion looked poorly defined and I simply could not figure out what the 5 rivets were for! Maybe these concerns of mine are simply due to manufacturer variations, but I can say your example was not made by Rose.

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!
