We have all heard about the quality of Imperial German medals and orders. Here is a piece which seems to show otherwise. This Mecklenburg Schwerin merit cross on the right was purchased from stogieman a couple years ago, so I know it was not made up. The one on the left is a standard issue piece. It would appear that quality control caught it, as it does not look to have ever been issued. This is one of my favorites, so if you out there have any more I would love to see them.
