Check this out - PLM Ebay

Check out item: 6567882029 . That's a lot of cash for what looks like a current copy. Am I wrong?

    Daniel,
It would be if not for the fact that this is a rare example of one made from the original dies of the copies made in the 30's. Yea right You are right it is too much, however Der Wrongmeister in Fla. routinely sells (I guess, they go somewhere) these for $5000 to $6000. THAT, is really way too much.

It must be the toast rack the cross is leaning against that people are bidding on, it's solid uranium, allegedly, and was presented with the cross to the recipient just before he joined Werner Heisenburg in Germany's secret post WW1 A-bomb development programme.

              Andreas,
Just a little sarcasm. The copies supposedly made in the 30's are fakes, so a copy of a fake, is still a fake.

Yeh, we all know they are fakes that's why its so funny to see how much people waste on them. If Icould sell a fake PLM a month on ebay, that would buy me a genuine article in a few short months!

"Schadenfreude" indeed. Not much joy to see so many taken by a few. When folks find out they have spent their hard-earned money on crap it comes back to hurt the hobby. How about "bemitleiden." $4,000 could buy a lot of homework on the subject if they cared to learn. "Pity" is more like it.
