I know that in WW2 those who one the EK in the previous war were awarde the spange to their 1914 EK, my question is there were a similar awarded in 1914 to those who won the EK in 1870?

Yes there was. Offically called the "Wiederholungsspange" It was offically awarded only some 869 times. However there are estimates of somewhere around 2000 produced. there is still some debate over these pieces .Originally posted by Ingsoc
