        Hello,

to the dedecation I can not say anything but to the cross by itself.
The marker was "Wagner & Sohn".
You have got here a cross with the little bit more seldom needle system.
The company has used 2 different needlesystems.

        Best Franki

Have checked both KuK and KM U Boats, and given that "Galizien" is land locked, could it be a name?

6th Uhlans (Thüringisches Ulanen-Regiment Nr.6)? Or more likely the KuK Ulanen Nr.6, in Galicia in 1914 and presumably 1915.

Tom thanks, 6th Ulans were in Serbia at the time, but KuK Ulans? has anyone got any details on them?

I can't see it very well in your picture, but are you sure that is not a "26"? The reason I ask is that a date makes a lot more sense than a unit. Besides, you would not see a regimental number represented by a Roman numeral, but it was the way of writing the month. I think this is the date that the award was won.
