    Nice group. What jumps out at me is the seemingly early Stahlhelm card. Verkuilen will be able to tell better than I, but if was #35 nationally (and I thought they were sequential, national numbers, not by town) then that's a treasure indeed.

    The docs say IR 362 and as you can see, he had a full war for an "older" Ersatz soldier.He bounced around-I see demobbed at a different regimental station, served in Russia and on the Western front (including in the American sector) also mention of several other regiments. Claussen seems to have had some rear eschelon time in, as well as frontservice.

      Can you give me any more information about the other unknown documents or from his passbook? How common are these Stahlhelm cards?
