    Rolf,

    nice stuff

The cross on your medal bar is the Bavarian Military Merit cross 2nd class with swords and the medal, you asked for, is the Kyffhäuser-Medal.

David, sorry, i can´t see the medal good enough.

Rolf, I'm in love with your very first medal bar on top! That is only the second Reuss House Order w/o swords on a statute ribbon that I have seen! Truly, a rare bird.

Great Collection. Keep up the hunt.

Whats that cross in the centre-left in the first photo looking like an iron cross on a blue ribbon?

          Thanks!

It is Bavarian and says Treu in Not. If it is military or civil I don't know. I picked it up while in Bavaria last year.

I guess I'll just throw it away.

Here you can see the vaulting to the bar. The pin follows the bar exactly. It is very nicely made.

Zoom in on the Reuss. The male decendents of the Reuss family were mostly named Wilhelm (maybe all of them?).

Another frontal shot of the Reuss. The Service medal on this bar is really thick.

You can really see how thick the service medal is and the maker mark on the Hindenburg Cross.

That should ofcoure be Heinrich. And it is correct, in fact up till some male in the 20th century, all of them were named heinrich.

There were 2 lines of the House as you may now, the younger and the elder. One of them (I dont know which did which) starts recounting when they reach heinrich C and the other begins all over again every century...or so I have heard..
