A rare version of the Oldenburg Friedrich-August Cross 2. class. Made from black painted brass. As far as I know these were made after the war. The wartime crosses were always made from iron. Someone here with more informations about the brass FA-Crosses?

as far as I remember You are right. Wartime ones are from iron, later ones also from brass.

When you see the reverse it quickly becomes apparent that this is probably a '57 or a repro.

We actually had this very discussion somewhere @ January. I think then we even had one (brass) pop up with a mark on the back. I too have a brass one on a bar. No "Vor der Feinde" vanity bar though.
