Hello Guys,

I'm posting this EK1 for a friend of mine as he would like opinions on it. I have the piece in hand so any further photos would be no problem. I have already voiced my opinion on it but I know little on crosses. Any help is really appreciated by myself and my collecting friend,

Hi Tom,
Could you post a picture of the pin? I don't have a good feeling about this cross. A few months ago there were a bunch of KAG crosses that came up on ebay with the EAGLE stamp above the pin and the MM under the catch. I think
it was decided that these were fakes. Another thing that doe not seem right is the detail in the crown. If I remember right, the KAG crown had the 3 dashes in it instead of the beads. Tony ( Tony & Kaiser ) I think has a nice KAG and maybe he can confirm this. PLUS the patina looks way to even.

The first picture ... the beading looks too course or something. From there it just goes downhill. About the "only" thing that even comes close is the hinge ...

Wow. Good memory Greg. I posted mine in a thread titled "testing out my new digital camera on a KAG" where I was fooling around. However, I have never seen a KAG makred any way but mine, and always with that rather unique shaped pin. Here is the thread:

Thanks for your opinion, this was mine also. Yes Greg, this came from Ebay, coming from a "Grandfathers bring backs". I will let him know the feeling, I definately wouldn't put my money on it.
