And from a WAF forum member too...

I was told release date was October, I'm supposed to have a copy numbered in the 40's...and yet it's made China and already hit ebay.

    Whassup with that?

Many books with vivid color illustrations are printed in Asia these days due to cost. A serious problem many US publishers and authors have with this situation is that the Asian printers are notorious for making over-runs for their own pirate sales. The PLM example is a textbook example (pardon the pun).

        This should be pulled immediately.
Another reason to have things published state-side.

I am the ebay seller! I don't kwon why there happen something wrong. I bought this book from a friend of mine. He gave me at RMB600. I don't know where he find it. I am a iii reich militaria and book collector, so blue max related book i am not interested in, so i list it on ebay.

I know many us publishers printed their books in china. but is there something wrong? Maybe my friend bought it from his friend in the print house? So he can sold me the book unreleased! But what kind of fault we did?!

            Thanks!

Relax - you've done nothing 'wrong' .... I was simply incredulous that it appeared to be already on sale in China, when I was led to beleive the release date was not until October.

It seems some have taken the unsubstantiated 'piracy' thing a bit far - that was not remotely the intention of my post.

                All,
This is a disturbing fact to me as well. I was just informed yesterday by cell phone while on vacation. As an update let it be known that the books are scheduled to the warehouse this week (In America!) and after the Limiteds are signed and numbered shipping begins the second week of September. That is how it is suppose to be. I will investigate further, as to my knowledge only one book reached a source in China. It made sense since both the printer and customer were located in Hong Kong the book had only to travel a few miles versus coming here and being sent back for a round trip of thousands of miles. I will however be disappointed if the fact comes to light that the buyer misrepresented his reasons for purchasing the book. I have witnessed the Iron Time being sold for ten times what Winidore Press had as retail. Most unfortunate as once the books leave our hands others attempt to benefit from years of backbreaking research having never lifted a finger excepting to place an order. And the prices are nothing short of piratic. You will find the book worth the wait, I assure you.

                  Hi, Steve

I am sorry if I did something that brought you some trouble. If you think it is necessary, I will end the book I sold in Ebay.

I am very respectful of you. You have many things that I should study.
