General Alfred Wald, badge identification

Hi all, dont know if this is the right place for this but I came across this image and noted a little badge hes wearing, cant seem to find any info on it. Photo appears to be taken in the 1930s, some sort of unit/regimantal badge, number "126" any info on identifying, or better still an image would be great, thanks

The photo was definitely taken no earlier than 1934, as he is wearing the Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer (probably recently awarded as it is not yet incorporated into his medal bar).

Anyway, the badge in question is the Ehrennadel [Honor Pin] of the Regimentskameradschaft ehemaliger 126er [Regimental Association of former 126ers]. It's not clear in the photograph, but the top half of the badge's center medaillon is red and the lower half black (black and red being the Wurttembergian colors). In the lower half are the three stag antlers from the Wurttembergian coat-of-arms.

Wald had served with Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 126 Großherzog Friedrich von Baden (8. Württembergisches) [Infantry Regiment No. 126 Grand Duke Frederick of Baden (8th Wurttembergian)] and was the co-author of the regiment's WW I chronicle published in 1929.

He was also a member of another regimental association, the Offiziervereinigung des 8. Württembergischen Infanterie Regiments No. 126 Großherzog Friedrich von Baden [Association of the Officers of the 9th Wurttembergian Infantry Regiment No. 126 Grand Duke Frederick of Baden].
