Imperial German Naval Observer's badge authenticity?

I'm not familiar with these badges at all. Any opinions on authenticity?

Looks like an original Schaper naval observer in gilded bronce.

I'm glad to hear, thanks! What would be a fair offer to put in for this?

These things are scarce. I would imagine a valuation of 2500.00 is in order.

Put in a bid, and it finally arrived. Best thing is, it came with a twin brother! Icing on the cake, twin brother seems to be named.

            What are your opinions?

Opinions on the naming? I seem to read "Meyr II M Flug." I must admit, I don't know very much, and only bid because I got these for a very good price. I am very much enjoying doing the research however! Any leads/hints for me for more information?

Both badges are owesome. Congratulation. If you leave one of this please let me know.
If the name is "Meyr" then the owner was Marine Stabsarzt and later Kpt.Lt.d.R.M.A. Dr. Alfred Meyra named Meyr. I would expect a silver gilded version of the observer badge because he was one of the first receipts of the badge.

              Kind regards Alex
