      Fabulous example. I've been looking for one with the green lacquer-residue in the recesses for a long time. Sadly, many collectors have cleaned their badges thinking the green color was some kind of unwanted corrosion.

            It's good to see a real one of these.

            eBay has an unending supply of fake u-boat badges with spurious "Walter Schot fec." marks on them. My eyes get tired of seeing all the bad ones on eBay.

                    Beautiful badge with typical untouched vertv de gris patina.
                    Anyone has a clue about a possible maker? Set up reminds me of Juncker.

                      This badge was produced by Schott I believe. The green is not verdigris but an applied painted coloring. Gordon Williamson discovered this a few years back if memory serves my correctly.

                      Juncker had their own design.

                          I think Wilhelm Deumer, Steinhauer & Lück and Paul Meybauer are the manufacturers. Walter Schott was the designer.

                            Sorry about that. I tend to use American colloquialisms forgeting that non-Americans are also reading these posts.

                            "Sticker Shock" is a term that came-about in the 1970s. It means SHOCK experienced by potential buyers on discovering the high price of an item they want to buy. "Sticker" here simply means "Price-Tag." Maybe your price will be a friendly collector-to-collector price, and I won't have a heart attack when I see it on E-Stand.

                              Well from what i checked arround, simmilar or even sone worst condition sold for 850$. No idea what you woukd cinsider collector to cillector frendly
