    k.u.k. Legimation

    I would like to show Austro-Hungarian IDs from my collections. These included Legimationsblattkapsel (metal container) and Legimationsblatt (paper documents). They were made out of brass and later (due to the shortage) out of other metals as well. Model M16 was made out of iron sheet metal and painted green and had additional hook for closing. The officers versions were nicely decorated with double headed eagle and imperial monograms. Different types are seen on this photo. They all belonged to Slovenian soldiers from units IR17, IR47, FJB7, LIR27, GSR2, FKR8 and LstBaon 14.

    Very nice. Were they required to carry their award legitimation on their person at all times?
