    How does this one look. I was thinking of purchasing this item.

      This style was indeed quite popular during the 1870th-1890th. The so called "big ribbon bar". A nice piece.

              Is the mini-EK/IC common on these bars?

              I have also one and thought it might be for the EK/IC I.class?

                maybe the ribbon is for the second class and the owner wanted to show that he has the first class as well.... or it is just another piece of the "free minded decoration society"...

                most of these mini ek`s are seen on saxon ribbon bars

                  Yes, this I was also told, but nonetheless, my bar is also Prussian/Baden ...

                    They're by no means exclusive to Saxony. I've seen rare examples to Bavarians, and even one to a Turk.
