Bad Werner must play by The Rules and tell us what the BACKING is. The back can be almost as important as the front! I've looked through navy, which has awards (though not current) 1918 and found no match there: I always think navy when I see a Mecklenburg-Hamburg pair. If army, God alone knows.

This guy was certainly an (E) officer of Hauptmann/Major rank when WW2 started.

        my favorite...

        Hi Rick, Daniel,

I have no fotos from the back. But marine, Rick

        you fall into water.
there only a few Leutnants, etc. , who got the Hohenzollern.

I think it's Oberleutnant Wendte of the IR 31 from Altona, there're a few member of the same Regiment with this combination and Wendte got at last the rank Oberst in the Wehrmacht.
        Any opinions????

I have no WW1 list with UNITS for the HHOX: Michael Autengruber's published rolls stop showing units in 1916. After that it's just "wonderful" things like "Lt dR Schmidt" and the MWB gazette date...

you have something better in your Secret Files?
