These KMST DRGM EK1s have amazingly involved attachment mechanisms and I really like them. I think Gordon has (or at least images on his website) the "screwback" version. The eBay one is only the fourth of this pinback type I've ever seen, including my own. There is a more standard pinback type from memory as well. I started "watching" this one soon after it was first listed out of curiosity but was totally blown away by the final price. And to think, I picked mine up from US eBay last year for less than Aus$200 (including postage and insurance)!!! This was a few months after the previous one sold on eBay for US$450 - rare variants are in high demand it seems.

A similar KMST was listed on ebay a couple of months ago. It was purchased by someone named ekhunter for $1000 usd!!
It seems that the interest in these rarities has increased dramatically since appearing in recent publications.
