I just received the new Nimmergut price guide. What do you think of the prices? For example the 1914 EK2 with ribbon, combattants or non, is listed at 25 and 35 euros.

Prices in New Nimmergut book

The price book is going up faster than some of the medals! I have never used Nimmergut as a final authority on medal value due to the methods he used to come up with the prices. Like most blokes he is high on some, low on others and about right on the rest, difference is, people pay him for his opinions. Successful entrepreneur!

Oh boy, oh boy...
I normally buy just the old guide whenever the new one comes out. They sell them for half price and the pricing is as wrong as the new one anyway...
The guide is as usefull as the 1 mio $-4 volume + 1 extra correction "opus magnum". Actually instead of buying that I bough a nice medal for my collection.

Sometimes, it is even better ...
Some of the prices are much too high, and others are real jokes ...
But I do always have the newest one, as I have no matter on many prices of most German states (I would never know what a Hamburg Fireservice medal would cost, would you?).
And as a tipp, it might always be usefull ...

Haha, in my old version of the book is the "Militärehrenzeichen 1. Klasse" from Preußen (the medal one grade under the "Goldene Militärverdienstkreuz") listed for 69 Euros. Hohoho! Tell me a source for them at this price and I will buy 100!!!

Will also take some dozen ...
This is just one simple example, but it makes me think ...
Also very funny:
Zahringer Lions without "Eichenlaub" were noted cheaper than the ones with "Eichenlaub", so please remove it and kick it away ...
I think this has been corrected in the newest one ...
