How to restore a big medal-bar

Some years ago I got this EKII 1914 (makers mark "K.A.G.") from ebay. It was cut off from a big medal-bar, for what reason ever. Now I've decided to restore the single medal-bar.
Here are the parts I used:

A piece of felt and a piece of cloth. Backing is thick paper and a safety pin as pinback. Also some cotton for padding.

First step. Sewing the cloth with the medal onto the paper-backing.

Step 2. Fixing the ribbon on the backing.

Step 3. Fixing the felt as backing and using the cotton for padding. Finally adding the pinback.

Completed medal-bar. And now we wait for the flood of selfmade paper-backing medal-bars at ebay.
