Well unless I learned my history wrong in school ... WW1 was NOT 1870 ...

I'd be very wary of this one. Why would someone take 7 pictures and not one of the outside of the case or the hinge / latch? Besides, you would need better pics of the cross than what has been shown.

I don't like the case. It looks like an 1914 case to me, expecially the clasp. Also the seller does not show the top of the lid. I do not buy a cased 1870 EK2, unless the case has some indication that it is actually for a 1870 EK. Just my opinion.

Besides, the 1870 2nd class cases are similar to the 1st class ones. Just more rectangular instead of square.
