Anyone have opinions on that Wurt. group? Seems odd that the enlisted silver bravery medal would be mounted before an officer FO.

        well.....

...... well, O'Conner actually lists this guy's awards... this is not him. He had a GOLD Bravery medal, replaced by an MVO..... BUT, in 1917 he also had a Hamburg HK, so no way this bar can be his since he received the HHORKwX in 1918! Not him, no way!

Well we seem to have contrasting opinions. I understand that the sell maybe trustworthy. I say maybe since I don't know him. But the medalbar in question seems to be misidentified.

I'd suggest an email to the seller. I expect honest men to make honest mistakes.
Let's see how he responds to better information.

                  I made no comment........

.......... about the man. Don't know him. My only comments were with respects to the bar. It's not a correct ID. This is easily and simply confirmed by referencing O'Conner's Württemburg Medal Book.

I think on the bar, a wuertt. MVO might have been replaced by a silver bravery medal, might it not?

That doesn't fix the basic facts!

                      Hohenzollern awarded in 1918
                      Hohenzollern on Bar
NO Hanseatic Hamburg Kreuz (awarded 1917)
Cannot belong to the individual named by the seller

                      Next problem

Named Leutnant received no Austrian Awards
                      Bar has Austrian MVK3mKD
Cannot belong to the individual named by the seller

These are basic and easily confirmed facts!

                        Are you sure???

How can you be 100% positive???

                        I think that...

This bar has been discussed some months ago on a German Forum:

                          http://forum.sammlergemeinschaft-deu...=w%FCrttemberg

End of the discussion was that the württ. Bravery medal does NOT match on this bar and has been replaced for a removed württ. MVO ...
(for those who cannot read German ...)

This is what I know. I do not know the seller, and I have never seen this bar in real, but I believe the MVO has been removed, too ...

                            link doesn't work....

the link to the German Forum will not work unless you are a registered member.

Again, while I agree that the MVO was replaced.... and this could be ammended and the bar made whole, this will not change the fact that it is impossible for this bar to belong to the individual named in the listing.
