Guys
Now that the EK book has finally seen the light of day, I am working my way towards completing the next couple of projects. First will be my U-Boat project but after that I am putting together one on the KVK. Next however, and deliberately third because I reckon it will take that ong to get the best quality material together, will be a companion volume to the Iron Cross of 1939, dealing with the Imperial Iron CRoss.
The book will be somewhat similar to the EK one, but cover all three of the Imperial types rather than a single issue..
What I need to do now is start pulling together photos of Imperial EKs, especiallly the many wierd and wonderful fitments types, plus cases, award docs etc etc and period photos of course ( at least for the 1914 issues) If anyone has any nice clear images of any of the above they'd be interested in seeing in the book, please e.mail me.
I have mail filters to sort out incoming mail for various projects so anyone contacting me on this please send to
EK@gordon-williamson.co.uk
When the project is complete and before sending to the publisher I'd like to ask for some volunteers from the EK specialists in the Imperial Forum to go through the material and let me know if they feel anything is wrong, be it simple typos, or pieces they feel are contentious.
Many thanks
Gordon
