Hesse-Darmstadt F?r Treue Arbeit medal question

Hello everyone:

I do not have nearly the same number of superb German medals as the Two Ricks and Werner have, however, I have one pre 1914 group that I have always liked, but have wondered about. The medal bar ihas the 1870-71 combattants medal, 1897 Jubilee medal and the Hesse-Darmstadt F?r Treue Arbeit medal. It's this last medal that has me wondering. Does anyone know for what it was awarded and roughly how many were awarded? The medal itself looks like the standard bravery medal of Ernst Ludwig and is on the same ribbon.

What You have is the Hessen Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen (General Honor Award) From this decoration plenty of different reverses are existing (general merits, bravery, livesaving....). Für treue Arbeit was a kind of a civil long service award, normally given after 30, 40 years of service (dont know exactly)
The ribbon should have smaller stirpes than the bravery ribbon(both shown below)
