    WW I photos

    Hi all,
As this is my first post, I want to say "hello". I've been lurking here for a long time...and it's time to say hi. Next, for those that won't get to see the originals, I have listed a couple photo books on ebay that I thought you might enjoy the pics. One shows the making of the Iron Cross and mentions that many were made from captured French and British Canon. I just thought you all would enjoy the pics. the link to the ebay listing is:

This isn't a plug for the ebay link as much as I believe you will enjoy the photos. Thanks.

You have some nice stuff. Love that hate belt.

Your "German Army" belt is not army but SA, by the way.

        Welcome!

Nice stuff, but the submarine badge frightens me. The pin attachment is not really commensurate with a .925 silver item.

Thanks for the compliments guys....I did not know the 'german army' belt was SA until after I posted it, then I received several emails about that, however...I'm pretty gun shy of the ebay police and I didn't want to start editing and adding the SA for fear they'd pull it and chew me out for some reason. All the stuff there is from one collector that is getting out of the collecting business and wanted me to try selling it for him. He said the U boat badge was "supposedly" found in the bottom of a WWI US GI gas mask bag years ago, at least that's what he told me when he offered the stuff and I mentioned that it was pretty cruddy. But, if it's not right...it's not right. He wanted to offer a money back on that as he related where and how it was found. Thanks much for the info though.
