    More Imperial Shoulder Boards

Here is a lone 1915 Oberleutnant subdued field board for Jäger Regiment zu Pferde 5. Note the two colored Prussian black and white "V"s, the double underlay and subdued devices. From Ted's collection.

Another M1915 one from Ted, for a Leutnant or Feldwebelleutnant from Landsturm Infantry Battalion 9 of the IX Army Corps. Enlisted men of the Landsturm wore these numbers on their collars. Though changed to the M1915 infantry white underlay, this board, in contrast to the two-colored "V"s of the one above, only has Prussian black "V"s because it is the silver thread, not subdued, type.

M1910 Offizierstellvertreter of Inf Rgt 187 strap, top. This was one of the first units raised after the war started, and the red infantry piping would only have been in use for a year until the M1915 regulations changed strap piping to white. Another one of Ted's.

On the dressy side here's a single, unfortunately, epaulet of an Oberstleutnant in the 2. Ober-Elsässisches Feld-Artillerie-Regiment Nr.51. As an Alsatian, his father and son were probably both on the other side
