Fake medal bar

Hi folks!

I was going to bid on this item then I kinda thought the back didn't look right.

To me the pin is too modern and the brass hooks are not cut evenly, too sloppy to be original.

Question is, was I right to think bad thoughts?

ps. I believe the mounting to be fake not the actual medals.

........home made?? Looks like a home-made, or home-repair job. Too sloppy to be an attempt at fakery, in my eyes.

I agree with Stogie. Maybe only a home-repaired one.
Have a look at the ribbons and threads, if they are not glowing under blacklight I think the bar is o.k.

I agree, they are fine, anyway, why would anyone intent on producing a fake piece do so with such low value medals. You know the faker's motto, "If your going to tell a lie, tell a big one" !
