Can't provide an i.d., so apologies from the peanut gallery. However, why jump to sexy skulls and crossbones? Why not a shield and crossed sabres, crossed flags, crossed shovels, crossed hockey sticks? Looks like it might be a youthful Spartacist, which would make the death's head motif less likely.
