      Werner,

You are really a bad, bad boy... Do you really want us to have an heart attack? Stop it! ...well, no! (schizofrenic) What am I saying? Post more... it's like an addiction. I need my daily over-dosis of beautiful Imperial/Bavarian medal bars!!!

If you do know that someone would like to sell Bavarian MVK. this is my wish list:

      - MVK 1. Kl. mit Krone
      - MVK 1. Kl.
      - MVK 2. Kl.
      - MVK 3. Kl. mit Krone u. Schwertern in zinc (last version)

Don't be greedy... if you have some doubles, please, sell them to me!

By the way, since when are you collecting medal bars? Your collection looks very very impressive...

      Ciao,

      Claudio

Well, Werner, the first medal bar I purchased I think it was back in 1986 (16 years ago). I got it from Graf Klenau. I am not so young as I might seem... but I am still after these very nice Bavarian MVK.

          Ciao,

          Claudio

so the way I read this is...?

So the 6 medal bar above I read as a middle ranked Beamter who served in the Italian/Tyrolian front and later in the Bavarian civil service -or was connected to the Bavarian Royals in the 1920s? (The wedding medal?)
Why would a Beamter get the swords? because of degree of award or indicating Im Feld service?
              Thanks,
              JeMc

                I want shock you, majorpayne....

So a heart-attack - do you mean bar-collecting is the right hobby for you???????

                Hi Jeff,

In the first years of WW1 - until July 1915 - the crosses with beamtenband (official Band für Kriegsverdienste) was awarded without swords, after this date with swords.

The wearer were Priester, Zahlmeister, Feldpolizei, Apotheker, Intendanturbeamte, Feldpostmeister, etc..

                Best regards

                Werner
