    Mounted EK2 and Seekrieg medal

    Hi,
this pair of medals came from my wife's grandfather (who died many years ago) I'm not sure why it's mounted in this order and I am unsure of the bronze cross, can anyone shed any light?
    cheers,
    Rick

It is mounted for wear on civilian dress (tuxedo) and the bronze cross is a commemorative.

This is known as a "Frackspange". "Frack" means tailcoat in German. Here is a Godet catalogue page showing how a Frackspange would be worn and why the EK appears last because being angled, the bar actually places it appropriately at the top, ranked first under the tux, or suit lapel (a).

Thanks Guys, that makes sense now, I thought it may have been worn by the next of kin, but with the bronze cross that wouldn't seem logical.
