    pair of 1914 iron crosses EK1 EK2

    Hello forum..

I found these last January at an estate sale. They were fairly expensive... at $200 for the pair. I felt that was close to retail. But, I just liked them.

The second class medals are super common, but I liked the loop on this one which I haven't seen before? It could be a field, or jewelry repair?

Are they original, and how did I do? Thanks for the comments. Robert

Post them down in Imperial. These have nothing to do with the Wehrmacht.

To me they look good KO crosses, second class with some kind of repair. Surely not field one, you only hardly make such smooth solder in the trenches.
When they are three piecers with magnetic core, which I canĀ“t tell from these pics, they are fine. Klein Oberstein company was neither quality nor beauty leader during WW1.

Both are original "KO" made crosses.
The 2nd class is obviously repaired.

Both nice crosses and the repair looks like it was a job well done.
