Hi there, based just on the ribbons and the attributes on them is impossible to tell which one is which!
But for the sake of the discussion we can tell that they could be : 1 for bravery (unknown grade), 2. For military merit and maybe 3. For merit
Whatever the awards are (these 3 types I listed could be worn on the ribbon of for bravery), if the recipient was awarded with for bravery it has to be in the first place!
      If more questions, please ask!

after some resarch done during these days, I would say that the first one could be the NATIONAL ORDER OF MILITARY MERIT 4th class (officer's cross WW2 issue). the second one could be the MILITARY ORDER FOR BRAVERY 4th class 2nd grade (for officers WW2 issue). the third one could be the MEDAL OF MERIT in silver (for officers) ... other suggestions?

        following, the awards I suggested.
the third one, medal of merit in silver, in this picture features the red civilian ribbon instead the usual military ribbon shown at the bar.

agree with you that "the bravery one" should be the first at the row. but, the first ribbon sports the crown/coat of arms present in all grades regarding "the military merit". so, I asume that the second one with swords refers to the "bravery" ... I guess a mistake by the german officer ordering the bar.

Hi there, I disagree with what you’re saying that the “crown/coat of arms” are present in all grades of the order for military merit, most 5th and 6th grades are crownless. If these attributes were for 4th grade for Military Merit than they should be gold colored and so on.
Also don’t forget that we have 3rd grade 2nd class For Bravery from the period that sports the crown as well (the probability of the German soldier being awarded with the 3rd degree is very low, as very few were awarded)! There is absolutely no regulation written on the subject to specify any of the attributes (crown, swords and so on) on the Miniature medal bars.

I see ... you're wright with your comments regarding the "military merit". lower grades are crownless. but, even with silver cypher, the type of crown (with falling bands) is a feature of the "military merit" but not from the "bravery".

anyway, if no regulation is written concerning ribbon bars, seems it's impossible to identify the ribbons for sure.

thank you very much for posting

Ribbon bars with these Bulgarian awards seem to be very popular, especially when the Bulgarian crown device is present. The Hohenzollern Knights Cross doesn't hurt either !!
