    EK2 in Patriotic Case

    Hello,
Picked this up recently and just wanted to run it here for review. I found the IVI cross in the originals thread, but couldn't find anything showing a maker. Has one ever been identified?
    Thank you,
    Dale

    Stepdale,
I think the makers mark you have there is an 'M', which is I believe is an unknown maker.

Thanks for the help, guys. I'll relabel it as an M for Mayer.

          Jelle,
Didn't know you were into imperial eks as well. I try to not stray out of my Gablonz lane too much, but I have a weakness for imperials EKs and WBs and just couldn't pass this one up.

            Very nice set

I saw a pull strap (red circle).... I'm a little curious about what's under the inlay
Do you may have a picture of that?

                Green,
Here you go. I was always told these were like this so the bottom could be lifted up to set a display stand for the cross.

                Tom,
I'm glad you decided to part with it. I posted the cased KVK2 and WW2 EKs I got from you in the crosses section but didn't get a whole lot of feedback.

I always thought the pull out base was to store the ribbon, or even an award document below the cross. But the display idea works as well!

I never thought about it being for that but I suppose anything is possible.
