    I have not been able to identify this medal. It is made by AWES Munze Berlin (A. Werner & Sohne) Berlin).     It's not a wound badge. Can we get a clear shot of the maker's mark.

      There is no such thing as a pre WW1 wound badge for any of the armed service branches - easy to check on open sources like Wikipedia- https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verwundetenabzeichen

        The interlocking Star of David makes me think Freemason (Freimauerer).

          Here is a photo of the maker's mark as requested. The owner of the medal speculated about the KLM connection due to the similarity of the anchor and swords on a wound badge.

            5 mins on the web (and probably just on the wound badge section on this forum) could have cleared that up for him - plus the fact that this cross looks to be set up to be worn around the neck is something of a hint.

            Bolewts58 is probably right pointing to a Freemason connection.
