    Unknown German award?

Hi, can anyone help with what these are about, google research has left me with not much of a clue, are they German WW1 military?
The wording on the fob? ribbon I think says
Fur Erinnerung an die schone feit der schlappen Kolone 1916/17 ???
and the white glass button hole

It's likely a student society watch fob, perhaps from one of the Saxon states.

    It actually reads:

Zur Erinnerung an die schöne Zeit der Schlappen Kolonne. The line over the "n" in Kolone means a double "n".

In memory of the excellent (schöne=beautiful, but I think excellent is better) time of the "Schlappen" column. I'm not sure how to translate "Schlappen". Schlappen are slippers. As a verb it can mean to shuffle along. It's possible, it is a play on words. But, I'm not sure.

Perhaps one of our German members can translate it.

To feal "schlapp" means to feal limb or floppy. I the case of a student society probably of heavy drinking.

        thanks

Thanks for the input guys, 1916/17, serious times in Germany, the original owner must have survived the war for this lot to find its way to Oz, I think it may need to return to Saxony.
