            Nice piece, in what appears to be near mint condition. I have a similar one with the side hooks, inscribed to Generalleutnant von Floeckher.

                      Talk about a textbook example!

                      Question,
                      isn't it generally accepted that just 3 AWS cores exist? The crown on this one is slightly different than these. Willi's cross has the short bulbous crown but with very fine beading opposed to the coarse beads shown in these pics.

                        Of course the core can't be an exact match to any of those due that those are 1914 cores and that's an 1870.
