It's not a Juncker nor an AWS.

Hi Ben! This is definitely AWS. Very interesting needle. Can we see the crown in more detail? Thanks!

This type is a mystery to me but I've seen it before. I suspect not AWS or Juncker but something rarer.
          Best regards,

            Thanks so far guys!

I will post better pics as soon as the cross is in.

Will dig through the ek-books again ....

I was asked about this cross earlier, and I was a bit stumbled as I thought exactly what Trevor said, it's a mystery. I have seen a cross like this as 1.Class or 2.Class, but I do agree it's rare if it's authentic (which I believe it to be).

However it is definetley not an AWS or Juncker.

                Hi,

I believe I have one. I do not group it with AWS/Juncker (~43.2mm wide and moderately vaulted). It's a relatively large cross (~44.0mm wide and slightly vaulted) and has a remnant TR period finish. Imo it's probably an unmarked early 40s type.

                Regards
                Mike

                  Hello Ben....nice and rare cross

The cross from Mike Kenny is indeed exactly the same. But as you said before... I also see at first sight some similarities. Looking closer and longer you see the differences.

                  IMO similaritis I see:

                  - Size
                  - Core profil (sort of Diamond pattern)
                  - Frame with Typical AWS/Junckerpattern
                  - The W at first sight
                  - Hinge block

                    Same cross indeed Mike.

                    Here are some additional pics.

Cross is 45 mm and has a non-magnetic (probably zinc) core

There is a connection with AWS / Juncker imo.

I first posted mine back in about 2009 and then again ever few
years in hopes of finding a maker. Most recently was back in
                        January. No luck so far.
