    Definitely not an awarded piece. The details are so horrible that I find it hard to even consider it a period made piece for wear on medal bar.

      I agree. The jumpring is way too thin for being an awarded piece.

        Thanks for the comments. The ring is very similar to the post WW2 made St&L awards, some of the imperial / foreign medals they made have the same style.

        Can this be a post war made example or is this a copy?

            The lettering is ugly and doesn't look die stamped to me.

              Looks cast in my eyes.

              Here's an example of an award piece to compare with. Compare e.g. the jump-ring, there's a huge difference in thickness.

                Yours is an awarded piece. The jump ring on the thread starter would be ok for a wearer's copy. But the details are soft so I too think it is a cast copy.
