Since many years ago, I wanted to replicate Manfred von Richthofen’s Ordenskissen. After many years of searching all over, and with a lot of patience, I posted a thread some years ago called “Finally after many years” in which I showed the state of my proyect. At that time I had a couple of replicas like the Red Eagle Order Third Class with Crown and Swords, the Pour le Merite, and some others.
Fortunately, now I have an original PlM and an original Red Eagle Order. All the pieces here (except, obviously, for the ribbon bar) are period original pieces. No groups were broken, and no medal bars were torn apart to complete this proyect.
The most difficult piece to acquire is without any doubt the Red Eagle Order 3 Class with crown and swords!
Manfred von Richthofen’s original awards shown in 1925.
