Turkish Decoration?

Would anyone know anything about this decoration? Is it military or order of chivalry? Something else...? Is it original or a replica? Basically anything that you can tell me about it would be useful...

It's the Turkish ORDER OF MEDJIDIE. It's really poor quality and although I'm no expert, I have strong doubts it's real.

Can you elaborate on the “poor quality” comment, please? I am not an expert on Turkish awards either, but handling it, it seems fairly detailed and elaborate. In addition it uses quality materials. After your message, I looked up the award on the main reference resources and the although a few have very different obverse, there are at least 4 different settings, including the one above. I am not questioning your view, buy it would be great if additional facts are provided in order for me to learn more about these!

IMO replica, aimed to look like a Turkish made, later issued piece.

Thank you for that... I read that many of these stars were converted from other grades and these were manufactured all also in Germany and Austria (for example by C.F. Rothe, Vienna)... some as museum copies... will try to research it furher...
