    German Order/Medal

Can anyone identify this medal/Order? It was made by a jeweler in Munich and is marked on the back: " Jewellere Gebr. Hemmerle Vorm. Elchinger (a smalll star with a dash on each side if the star) Munchen" The center has a red cross on a white background all done in enamel. The wings surrounding it are in blue and white enamel.

This is the Royal Bavarian Order of St. George. I would suggest posting in the Imperial German Forum.

    Kind regards,

Its a nice and unusual looking decoration...not one I have seen before!!
It doesn't look postwar to me.....or do you believe it is???
If not, it might be better shown in another section of the forum....I can move it, but I wouldn't know where to move it to for the best replies!!!

Extremely rare order, unfortunate about the damage.
