Can someone tell me what this entry means for Prinz Franz?

Mike,
Inhaber = honorary commander.
So at the time of the Rangliste, Generalmajor außer Dienst Franz Prinz von Bayern was commander of Bavarian IR 2 Kronprinz, honorary commander of Bavarian IR 20, and a la Suite of the Bavarian 1 Schwere Reiter Regiment and Royal Prussian Feld Artillerie Regiment 4.

Doesn’t the first part of the entry show him as an Oberst? Wouldn’t that be a rank appropriate for a Regimental commander?

Trying to sort out if these epaulettes were his.

The list from 1926 show the soldiers first with the rank and position at the outbreak of the war. Additional is the information about the last commando and the rank in 1926.
