Medal Bar Review / Questions

I would like to get some thoughts on this bar please. There is two sewing pins stuck in the Hindenburg ribbon which is something I've never seen before and the stuffing behind the ribbons glows bright under a black light.

Is this a modern assembly with original parts?

Looks OK to me, could be glowing due to cleaning. I have similar bars with pins holding things together.
