Two postcards from a Bavarian medical NCO

Here are two nice items I got as a gift today. Both are from the same soldier, the Bavarian Sanitäts-Unteroffizier Bartholomäus Lainer.

The first is a field post card sent to Seine Durchlaucht [= His Serene Highness] Herrn Prinz Carl Theodor von Thurn und Taxis at Neuburg an der Donau. This would have to be Carl Theodor Ludwig Maximilian Robert von Thurn und Taxis (18 July 1861 - 25 November 1925).

The unit stamp is for the 4. Kompanie [4th Company] of the Bayerisches Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment 12 [Bavarian Reserve Infantry Regiment 12], which was part of the 1. Königlich Bayerische Reserve-Division [1st Royal Bavarian Reserve Division]:

The second is a photo developed as a postcard. Since it is not stamped and addressed, it was apparently sent in an envelope.

The text on the reverse translates as:
    "France, 14 July 17

    Dear Viktor!

Many thanks for the honey I got. I am deeply grateful for everything. I also send you a picture of the ward supervisors at the local military hospital.
We are in our work room, where we would like be when peace comes.

    Very cordial greetings

    Lainer
    "

Very nice personal effect. I like the colorful handwriting on the back of the photo. It's very bright and easy to read! Now if only you could find the photo if the ward supervisors to complete the set!

Thanks! I don't think the text refers to another photograph; they are surely the men seen here.

Today, I got a few more cards from the same man. I would like to share this one, a nice group photograph of what appear to be wounded men with members of the medical staff attending to them. It says:
"Besten Dank für Ihre guten Wünsche zum Namentag. Auch ich wünsche Ihnen alles Gute für Ihre neue Kriegstätigkeit.
            Mit Gruß
            Prinzessin
            Hortense Taxis
            Neuburg a/D
            [= an der Donau], 24. I. 17"

["Best thanks for your good wishes for my name day. I, too, whish you all the best for your new wartime assignment.
            With greetings,
            Princess
            Hortense Taxis
            Neuburg a/D [= an der Donau], 24 Jan. 17"]

That would be Hortense Oscarine Marie Adele Sophie von Thurn und Taxis (26 March 1866 - 26 Dec. 1921), sister of Carl Theodor (see post # 1).

Lainer's unit at the time was the 5. Ersatz-Maschinen-Gewehr-Kompagnie [5th Machine Gun Replacement Company] at Neu-Ulm:

Another nice card with research opportunities! I actually found an interesting site after searching 5th Machine Gun Replacement Company. Probably nothing new to you guys but I don't think I saw it before so I'm posting it just in case.
