1918 Goetz Death of the Red Baron Medallion

Baron von Richthofen Silver Medal.

Hallmarked on the edge, 38cm diameter.

Goetz was a famous artist who had interesting designs with an almost caricature like feel.

Here is the bronze version ,think it’s about 90mm and has the incorrect kill score and death date ,this prior to the corrected smaller examples .

As an aside, Karl Goetz also inscribed an incorrect date on the Lusitania Medal, having the sinking on May 5, 1915, rather than the correct date of May 6, 1915.
