I remember this bars, they were at Andre Hüsken around 1994.

Groupings like this are existing, but inofficially. A guy could only apply for ONE cross. And nobody can show me a DOCUMENTED grouping with 2 Hindenburg crosses (until now), thats why I believe this was done unofficially.

    Best regards

      hi Guys,

this is now at German eBay from the seller Antikvoss.

      - Prussian Militärehrenzeichen (indicates Colonial award), but no China, SWA, or Colonial medal
      - not sewn in Prussian style

Not at all impossible, but IMO a put-together bar.

      Other opinions?

      Best regards

      Daniel

This flat-bottomed style has been eagerly adopted by bar fakers, since it is so much easier to make than the furled bow bottom type. It WAS an original period style, but not a very popular one-- and the recent flood of fakes makes picking an original out even harder. Gotta go around with a blacklight to flash the ribbons--which on all Imperial era awards, should be silk, of course.

I don't care for the way the pins are on both of the above bars: the lower bent end of the pin is much longer than normal, and was normally concealed BENEATH the backing--or the entire swivel end was exposed, barrel tube and all.

These bars just do not look or feel right, from the scans.

                How about this one?

                http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...item=733547866

The oaks don't look good to me, numbers are not the same as what I have seen in the past. Or has someone just taken off the 1870 EK and stuck a crummy '14 on there to try and make more money?

                Regards
                Dez

The 5 on the oakleaves matches the one I got from Detlev recently, but the bottom of the 2 looks funny. In any event, they don't belong on a 1914 at all. No Centenar and the felt on the back looks homemade. The toning and wear don't match on the EK and the FA, and the ribbons look new. Other than that, it's perfect

                    HAHAHA!

O think a stupid guy just put this faked oakleave on an original bar. The medal bar itself looks o.k.

                    Best regards

I don't like antikvoss! He often sells these strange bars and watch out for his "field-made" EKI 1914 with soldered pinbacks!

                          Hi Jens,

                          you are completely right...

                          Christian,

all the single awards are probably o.k. So have no problem to bid. But dont pay more than You would normally pay for the single medals, dont pay a "Spangenbonus" because keep in mind that it is a "Construction".

                          Beste Grüße

                          Daniel

What do You think about this one? Of course at German eBay

                              - the same flat-bottom style
                              - not sewn in Bavarian style
                              - has unofficial Weimar decoration together with WW2 awards
