EK1 Pillow back (AWS?)

Hi guys,

I've added this EK1 to my collection and I would like to determine the maker.
After some research I think this could be a pillow back cross by A. Werner & Söhne from Berlin.
What do you think?

Hi,

Yes, that is imo an AWS screwback. The small screw sometimes has the AWS logo stamped on it.

The case would be a "?" for me.

I agree. Nice cross. The case is sloppy, I don't believe that one.

The case is in very poor condition but it looks to me that it once was quite a luxurious box (If the set belongs together, the box is also more than 100 years old).
Maybe a private purchase?

Anyway, I think that the box gives the cross even more character so I will display it this way.

In the best case it’s a private purchase case.
Always difficult to judge non standard items.
