    Serbian Kreuz Balkankrise 1913?

I originally posted this over in the International forum, but decided that I'd go ahead and put it up over here...

I saw this medal bar up on eBay:

The decoration in the middle is identified as the "Serbian Kreuz Balkankrise 1913". From what little bit I've been able to find thus far, it traditionally comes on a completely different ribbon. Is anyone familiar with this decoration, and possibly ribbon variations associated with it?

Well, not exactly familiar... but it's well known (for an obscure campaign medal from a small country). Obviously this medal was put on the bar as a replacement "close enough-looks like it" cross standing in for a 15 year NCO LS medal. But alas, while I think it's probably original, the nice new red felt backing and the wrong medal give me pause.

i don't like it - looks more like a ribbon for a friedrichs order from württemberg.
and the style - more the way of trying to make a medalbar (it looked the same like i tried at the beginning of collecting - to short ribbon and not the knowledge to fold and wrap the ribbon)

You're right- I looked again at the bottom and it's all wrong. Made up bar.

Good point... I'm enough focused on ribbon bars that I haven't spent all that much time looking closely at the construction nuances of medal bars.

...anyone know any foreign decorations that appear on a ribbon the exact same color as the Friedrichsorden / peacetime Crown Order that might plausably be received by a German of the period?

The Serbian Cross does not match to the bar, a Wurttemberg Friedrichs-Orden would match much better.

I don't agree with medal bars beeing jugded by the way they are sewn as you can't say a bar has to look like this and not like that ...

There were many people sewing medal bars at tis time, and many people (exspecially in Wurttemberg) did do it for theirselves ...
